Here's a little bit about our group...

Music Fest is the product of the New Glarus Youth Committee, a non-profit organization formed by a group of New Glarus area citizens over 12 years ago with the intention of promoting  and facilitating the youth of the area. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 PM at the New Glarus Hotel on 1st. Street and 6th Ave. All meetings are open to the public and we always welcome new members to join. We vote and pass resolutions as a quorum. 

Our largest fundraising activity is the annual New Glarus MUSIC FEST traditionally held each Memorial Holiday weekend (Friday-Sunday). New for 2016 it is moving to the Heidi Play weekend in June. The fest will include a lively beer tent with food and bands lined up from early afternoon into the night.

We are also the sole sponsor of the annual LUNCH WITH SANTA held each December to the delight of hundreds of smaller children.

With the monies brought in from this festival (which is in it's 17th year!) we are then able to reach out to help our young people with grants and deeds throughout the year. Past donations include extra basketball court space and pool slide at the Village Park, bleachers at the football field, playground equipment at the New Glarus Woods State Park, Junior Great Books at the New Glarus Grade School and many more.
